This international webinar was an opportunity to hear more from countries around the world about the lessons learnt from their experience in tackling loneliness during a pandemic. The event was organised by the Campaign to End Loneliness with support from the Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection and was the inaugural event for this international collaboration.

What can you expect?
You will have the opportunity to hear from a number of global leaders on how they are tackling loneliness or are perceiving loneliness around the globe.
There will also be the chance to hear from individual countries around the world about their experience of supporting people who are lonely during a global pandemic as well as discuss what happens next in small groups in breakout rooms.
This event also marks the inaugural event from the newly-formed Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection (GILC). The GILC is comprised of representatives of national organizations committed to addressing the pressing global issues of loneliness and social isolation and to support the dissemination of system-wide, national approaches to building social connection. This webinar has been organised by the Campaign to End Loneliness with the support of the Global Initiative on Loneliness and Connection.
