Kate Tobin

Kate Tobin works at ScalePoint Advisors, a firm that provides fractional CFO services, capital markets strategy, and business development support to fintech and other venture-backed companies. ScalePoint works with founders and investors to navigate fundraising, M&A, term sheet negotiations, and strategic partnerships, with a sharp focus on operational excellence and long-term value creation.

 

Before ScalePoint, Kate worked at Capital One and TD Bank and Amount, a Goldman Sachs backed fintech company. She was named one of the Top 25 Women Leaders in Financial Technology, recognizing her deep expertise and impact in the space. She also serves as a FINRA arbitrator, bringing her legal and financial acumen to resolving complex disputes.

 

She holds a J.D. from Washington and Lee University School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Virginia.

 

Originally from the Washington, D.C. area, Kate now works “reboatly” — sailing from island to island while helping founders and investors scale transformative fintech businesses around the world.
